When it comes to the Home Tuition Exam Preparation program, we can only report success stories – so far, every student has passed the exam they registered for! We are experienced enough to tell you what level of German you currently have and what you need to do in order to pass a particular exam by a specific date. We practise all sections of the relevant exam, but focus particularly on those areas you find challenging. Towards the end of your course we will simulate exam conditions, giving you the chance to practise with real exam papers. Be prepared to work hard between lessons. Example: Weekly plan with full board

As a rule, you will arrive on Sunday afternoon and leave on Saturday morning. If you have booked a course of 2 or more weeks, you can look forward to a day trip on Sunday. To allow enough time to practise the exam content, we recommend a minimum stay of 2 weeks. The course can be between 24 and 30 lessons of 45 minutes per week. Below is an example of a lesson plan including 28*45 minute 1-to-1 lessons per week. 4*45 minute lessons take place in the mornings Monday to Friday plus 2*45 minutes on four afternoons. While the exam preparation course focuses on practicing the exam sections (reading and listening comprehension, writing and oral expression), there will still be plenty of time for practical language sessions at mealtimes and during social time in the evenings. While we offer you many opportunities to speak German, it is entirely up to you how many activities you do and how much time you have to yourself. We offer the activities and you select what you like!

Price includes:

• Transfer to and from the station in the town of study
• Registration fee, placement test and course material
• 24 to 30*45 minutes of 1-1 lessons with a private teacher (depending on requirements)
• Tailored activity programme: 1x sightseeing, 1x short walk or bike ride, 1x hike, 1x dinner at a restaurant/brewery, day trip (for courses of 2+ weeks)
• Practice sessions at all meals
• Social time at the end of the day
• Attractive single room with private toilet, bathroom or shared walk-in shower
• Balanced meals with full or half board
• Certificate of attendance based on the CEFR
• Significant progress in speaking German

Price does not include

• Transfer to and from the airport
• Entrance fees and rental (e.g. bike rental)
• Lunch on Saturday, and either lunch or dinner on the Sunday excursion
• Any costs relating to special dietary requirements
